Good morning friends! I hope your week is going well and you’re getting ready for a fun weekend. It’s been a busy week here and one of the best parts of the week was getting outside for a daytime run. By the time I get home from work in these winter months, it’s dark out and I usually run on the treadmill. But I made a point of getting out in the sun with the pups and we all had a great time.
I run with one dog’s leash in my hand and the other on a bungee leash around my waist. We do fairly well although we still need to work on getting past other dogs without freaking out. (I’m looking at you, Bodie.)
We ran around the America the Beautiful park and along Monument Creek. It was such a pretty day.
Gryff doesn’t have as much energy as he used to and kept needing breaks to roll around in the leaves. Bless him.
After tuckering the pups out they took some naps and I got busy in the kitchen.
Is there anything better than fresh baked bread?!? It makes the house smell so good and feel cozy and warm.
I use a pretty basic recipe from Paul Hollywood (Great British Baking Show is just the BEST!) and it has proven to be a good reliable recipe for your basic loaf. After proving it throughout the afternoon, I baked it up and it’s all I can do not to eat the whole thing in one go.
I prepped some roast for the crockpot the next day and snuggled in with the pups to watch some Christmas movies. After A Christmas Carol and The Holiday (maybe for the 3rd time) I watched Father of the Bride parts one and two. I’ve been in such a wonderful holiday mood lately and can’t wait for Christmas. My dad is coming for Christmas and then we are going to visit my aunt and uncle for some post-Christmas festivities which will only prolong the wonderful holiday vibes!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, dear friends! I’m so thrilled that after my last post how many people are still around and happy to share in this crazy life thing we’re all doing. And thank you for all the personal messages. I love you all.
Do you run with multiple dogs? Tell me your tips and tricks!
What are you most looking forward to for Christmas?
