Well hello again! Gosh, September is one of my favorite months. The weather, the changing leaves, all of it. Love love love. Next week we are hoping to check out the cider festival in Morrison. This time of year is the best!
We headed up to Marble, Colorado during our trip to Carbondale for a little day trip. We spotted some hot springs and some very free spirits along the side of the road on the way.

My uncle spent many summers working and enjoying Marble as a teenager. It was great fun to hear what it looked like back then and to imagine it as he remembers it.
We got a glimpse of the old jail. It was a tiny, very old building. It was closed, but we got some glimpses through the windows. There were some horseshoes set up nearby and my uncle and Everett couldn’t resist a game.
After wandering around for a bit, we were hungry and hit up the most popular place in this small town.
Slow Groovin BBQ was listed as a must try restaurant and for good reason. It was a fantastic place with just the nicest people. I loved their menu.
The barbecue was delicious and I loved how all the food was made from scratch and locally sourced. We even made a joke with our server that they should have a dessert platter with all three desserts we wanted to try and a few minutes later our dreams came true!
The food, service, and atmosphere were awesome and I’d love to come back for some of their live music.
I also tried what is probably the best hard cider I’ve ever had there.
It was such a fun day full of exploring!
