Family time and TGIF!

Hi friends! Happy Friday!

The weekend is here and I’m ready to jump in. I had a great week and the highlight was having some of my family come visit me at the zoo! It’s spring break here and my cousins powered through the long drive to come hang out for awhile. I haven’t seen them in so long and it was great to catch up a bit and show them my amazing zoo! The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is literally on the side of a mountain and it is pretty famous for its giraffe herd. The zoo cares for one of the largest giraffe herds in the country and has an amazing elevated boardwalk that allows you to feed lettuce to these gentle giants at their eye level! It’s quite the experience and I make sure anyone who comes to visit me feeds a giraffe. I think my cousins liked it. 🙂

We swung by to say hello to Lou Lou, the African elephant.

I am so thankful that I get to share these incredible animals with my family and friends. It was a super fun time!
Today was pretty relaxed and I had time to get a 4 mile run in. I had hopes to get outside for my run, but it’s been raining pretty hard all day so I hit up my buddy, the treadmill.

Sorry so blurry. Self timer pictures are tricky. It was a good run and I was nice and sweaty by the end of it.

Some deep stretching and foam rolling afterwards. Gryff says, “You’re trying to stretch? I will help you and lay right here, k.”

Meanwhile, Bodie was demonstrating his perfect running form in hopes of joining our running club soon. Patience, little one, your time will come.

Now we are making some evening plans and I’m thinking tacos for dinner. Yum! Enjoy your weekend!

Any fun weekend plans?

What are you having for dinner?

Do you like running in the rain?

Me: Only in the summer when the rain cools me down, but doesn’t freeze me to death!
