Weekend wrap up

Very happy Sunday to you! Are you wrapping up your weekend and getting ready to jump into a new week? This weekend was pretty busy and the highlight was attending a friend’s bridal shower.

I’m super excited to be a bridesmaid in this lady’s wedding. She is one of my oldest friends and we had a blast catching up and celebrating her upcoming nuptials.

It was a co-ed bridal shower so the hubs got to tag along and catch up with some old buddies too.

The decorating was super pretty and the games were fantastic!

I can’t wait for their big day!

The rest of the weekend was a mix of running errands, catching up on some projects around the house, and playing with the pups.

Fast forward to today, 3 miles on the treadmill.

Something kind of weird happened in the middle of my run today. I had an allergy attack that had me sneezing my head off. By the end of the run I couldn’t breathe out of my nose and my whole body was itchy, especially my hands and eyes. It was kind of freaky, but more just annoying because I need all the breathing pathways I can get during a run so this made it tougher for sure. A shower and a couple Benadryl later and I’m a-okay. Has that ever happened to anyone else?

I was rocking some compression socks at work today and decided to roll right into my run with them.

Now we’re going to the wrap up the night with some cuddles with this big head and the puppy. Have a great night, friends!!

How was your weekend?

Ever had an allergy attack?

  1. Allergy attacks are no fun!
My mom is a massage therapist and once when I was in elementary school I went by the salon that she worked at at the time and some of the hair stylists were doing perms, we soon learned that I am apparently very allergic to them, ended up covered in hives after 10 minutes.
About that same time frame I found out I’m super allergic to aspens (which is awful since they’re so pretty when the leaves change color) at the time we had a small grove of 6 mature aspen in our front yard conveniently right next to my window, one night right when they were budding out new leaves I ended up covered in hives, with swollen fingers and even my face swelled up, a trip to urgent care and some Bendryl helped a lot, sadly the aspen trees had to go.

    1. Oh wow, I had no idea you could even be allergic to perms! And aspens! That’s a tough one! They are so pretty. We had an aspen grove in our yard when I was a girl.
